Armenian Language
Armenian is the official language of both the Republic of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, (a de facto republic, and a de-jure part of Azerbaijan). Armenian is also widely spoken by the people of the Armenian Diaspora. The number of Armenian speakers worldwide is approximately 7 million.
Armenian is an Indo-European language. Armenian is typically classified by linguists as an independent branch of the Indo-European language family.
