Scots Language
Scots (also called Lowlands Scots) is the language of the people of Lowland Scotland. Worldwide, there are more than 3 million Scots speakers.
The literary form of Scots is commonly referred to as “Lallans,” a term coined by Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Because Scots is descended from the Northern English language, it is closely related to English.
