Tuvaluan Language
Tuvaluan is an Austronesian language. It is spoken by the Tuvaluan people on the island of Tuvalu.
Tuvaluan is closely related to the language of Samoan. It is distantly related to most of the other Polynesian languages.
There are two groups of Tuvaluan dialects, based on dialects spoken in the northern and southern islands. All Tuvaluan dialects are mutually intelligible.
There are approximately 13,000 Tuvaluan speakers worldwide.
