Provencal Language
Provençal (also called Languedoc, Occitan) is a Romance language of the Indo-European language family. It is spoken in southern France, Italy, and Monaco. There are more than 350,000 native Provençal speakers.
While all Provençal speakers view French as the official means of communication, Provençal is still widely used. Although there is no standard Provençal literary form, it is currently gaining status as a literary language.
