Kwanyama Language
Kwanyama is a Bantu language of the Niger-Congo language family. It is spoken by the Ambo (Ovambo) people in northern Namibia and southern Angola.
Kwanyama is a standardized version of the Oshiwambo language. It is mutually intelligible with Ndonga, the only other dialect of Oshiwambo with a written, standardized form.
There are approximately 421,000 Kwanyama speakers in Angola, and about 250,000 in Namibia.
