Nepali Language
Nepali (Naipali) belongs to the Eastern division of the Pahari group of Indo-Aryan languages. It is spoken in Nepal.
Because much of the population in Nepal speaks Tibeto-Burman, the Nepali vocabulary contains several Tibeto-Burman loanwords.
Nepali was introduced to Nepal by the Gurkha conquerors in 1769.
